    lots to come...
My Dealer did some work... Said they could not find the rattle I described but they went ahead and added some felt to the roof area... I still hear some noise when its cold. I believe its the actual headliner making the sounds, that is not limited to the plastic trim and wires glued to the HL.

I didn't take pictures. But you can pull it from the front first and then the rear of the sunglass console. Then there a
Is a plug. Just unplug it. I used some 1/8 or so foam from shipping and put between the plastic rim and the headliner so it would fill the gap. Then I press around to see if it would make a scratchy sound = none, install and test drive for a few days.

No roof liner rattle, but I do have a rattle from both the speaker on the passenger side dashboard (near the windshield) and a new one behind the instrument cluster. Oh, and if the windows are cracked or partially down, those rattle too.

Yup, been some chilly mornings, so time for the rattles to come back. I had some silicone goop left over from packing the door seals to get rid of the whistling and sealed the plastic trim a little better. that seemed to take care of it. We'll see. heading out to the mountains this weekend and it's supposed to be 44 degrees at night. Guess we'll see how works up in the hills. It's the first real test since I sealed it. First try to fix it last year late spring (? I think?) didn't hold up on some cold mornings in the hills.

Has anyone had luck with Toyota fixing the rattle from the plastic ring in the headliner? I'm going to bring it in next week and want to prepare myself for how hard to fight with them on this.

I had a similar nose on my 2018 Tacoma TRD Pro and it seemed to be getting louder day by day. Finally, I pulled the roof console down and added some rubber padding between anything that had two surfaces that could touch each other on the passenger side from inside of the console opening. NOISE HAS STOPPED!!! IT TOOK 10 MINUTES. You can find videos online that shows how to remove the console. It's very easy.

I've got intermittent rattles in both doors. I'll fix them when I replace the OEM speakers. I don't want the dealer making things worse.

You just yank it off - really! Theres a better description here:

The wires up there are glued to the headliner. I used hot glue to hold them down.

OMG THANK YOU! Seriously I am about to drive cross country in the coming months and the thought of my console rattling the whole way would drive me nuts.

Also, long time reader first time poster. Lol

I had this too, I stuffed a folded up straw behind the sun visor and the rattle went away for good.
