    Roof racks seem to be one of those things that there are hundreds of options and everyone has their preference. I'm sure there are 100 other posts on this already but when I search roof rack I get 10000 unrelated posts just because someone mentions roof racks.

    I'm looking for a low profile rack. I want to be able to throw stuff on top of the truck like coolers, camping gear, kayaking gear, bike rack, etc... I want to keep the rack itself fairly low profile with lots of tie down points but I'm not overlanding so I don't need a tall rack with lighting or all the side mounted recovery gear. It's 2wd so I'm not doing heavy wheeling

    Budget/wife friendly price point preferred.

    Thanks!

    I love my prinsu rack. Its not overkill like some other racks and it can do pretty much everything. I payed around ~$700 for this rack and it took about an hour to install

    Ooh, thanks for the pic on a sport as well. Helps to see it on the right model.

    That does look relatively clean. For some reason all the rack manufacturers show them from top down so they look HUGE when from a side profile like that they're pretty sleek.

    Prinsu here;

    Love the clean low profile look, also carries everything we've ever needed - Canoe, Maxtrax, 2x4s, could carry much more..

    Check out Westcott Designs in Phoenix. I will be getting on of theirs, we have one for my wife's 2021 T4R and I can tell you from experience, 1800 miles in ridiculous head and side winds on our last road trip and I never heard a peep out of the rack, the drone from the TRD PRO exhaust she has was all we heard (hate that exhaust after a long trip) No whistling, no humming or vibrating, nothing. Very high quality stuff and Jeff was awesome to deal with. Lead times were super low, he quotes 4 weeks on the website, when I called to order they told me 2-3 weeks. Paid and got a call 6 days later to pick it up at his shop. Very impressed with the fit and finish on the one for the 4runner so definitely going with his on the taco as well.

    I put the Prinsu in the cart and it's just a bit more than I want to pay after you tack on weather stripping and $100 worth of shipping. Will take a look at some of the other brands mentioned.

    I was just coming in here to ask about Martin Offroad. They're significantly cheaper for what looks like a very similar design. Only one YT video I can find on them though and not much else.

    I went with Victory 4x4 due to free shipping and a slightly lower price point than Prinsu.

    Bear in mind that a rack will generate wind noise and decrease fuel economy by 1-2 mpg, regardless of option you select.

    That said, I went with @upTOPoverland and their Bravo rack. The design is great, price is competitive, customer service is clear, and their current/future accessories are good to have - specifically, various mounting selections and brackets, as well as lighting options.

    Well I've ordered one last week. As I understand from reading multiple threads, it's basically the same as Prinsu, including installation.

    Got the Martin Offroad in the cart at the moment. Will sit on it until after lunch and probably pull the trigger. Need something before a trip towards the end of June so hopefully the lead times are accurate.

    I’d go with Victory 4x4 since they’re within driving distance from me or Prinsu!

    I got the AL Off-road during the group buy. Works great and ZERO wind noise.
