Roof rack for 2008 double cab

my double cab has no roof or bed rack, and i occasionally need to haul lumber. recently i hauled 16' flooring by putting a towel on the back edge of the cab, lowering the tailgate, then ratcheting the flooring down so it rested on those two points.

I'd like a nice looking, inexpensive roof rack, and maybe something near the tailgate (inside or out) to provide support there. maybe something like a trailer hitch mounted T bar, or some mounts inside the bed that i can drop a rack frame into.

i understand that the bed rails can't support much weight, but can the metal portion that the tailgate latches to provide support?
