Roof rack install question??

    2020 silver Tacoma limited
    I just got done installing a factory rack on my 20 taco.
    I have like a small gap around the front of the rack.about an 1/8 inch off the roof.
    Also had problems getting in the small screws on the front part.o stripped one.
    Is there any way to getting the rack to sit flush with the roof.
    imo it’s a pretty cheap rack,I think I could saved a few bucks and and gone aftermarket
