Roof rack installation question?

    I am installing roof rails.

    my question is regarding the “ditch clips”. I see nothing like what is in the instructions.

    instructions are as follows:

    Only thing I see that is close to “ditch clips” is below. Are they saying to remove these?

    I wouldn't remove those clips...they look like intended to hold the black molding in-place.

    I have clips on mine but I have aftermarket rack.... Not sure what rack you plan to install... If you talk about OEM, in that case, Here is a YouTube video for instructions on how to install...

    Mine had a white plastic piece on both sides that I had to break off. Doesn't look like yours has it. Did you check the bottom of the molding?

    Can’t remember if I removed those or not but don’t think you would need to. Definitely use RTV or some sort of silicone in the screw holes or you will likely get leaks. I also used rubber washers as opposed to the foam ones the rack came with.
