    From:

    http://www.snugtop.com/products/truck_cap_accessories.php
"Industry leaders SNUGTOP and YAKIMA have joined forces to enable you to carry most anything on your truck cap. You can order a set of tracks installed on your SNUGTOP and purchase special YAKIMA accessories to complement your recreational needs. The XTR and XUV models come from the factory with big 2" diameter bars, and a rack set up is available for them, too."
Yup, more options to purchase, but it is possible.

    BTW: mvega1969 - nice setup!!!

    Great! Good news for you.

    Thanks,

That snug top was my first choice (a year ago), but the only dealer was almost 200 miles away (only one) and there was 6 different Leer dealers from where I did receive several quotes and finally got a great deal compared to the one received from the Snugtop's.

    Regards.

Yeah, SnugTop's are big $$$ and there are many other options. Your setup is sweet! The LEER dealers in town were not very good at customer service, but the guys at the SnugTop dealership took a lot of time to go over the features and options. Good service always gets my money! I think that was a huge factor in my decision.

I played with at least 3 LEER Dealers in order to compete for the best price, you should do the same, compare apples to apples even on different brands (including service), request a written copy of their quotes and let them give you only the best.

I had a full Yakima system for my DC cab and it looked great.I sold it in lieu of factory cargo bars in the bed but now find myself wanting a rack system again and now I'm considering the OEM setup....One quick question for those who have the factory system....What shape are the crossbars when they are extended in place? Are they round so as to accomadate Yakima attachments?I've seen pics and they appear round but I'm curious if they are Yakima in dimension.

    TIA.:)

No they are not round, they are oval but not thick, you might need the mighty mounts to properly install the rack system (bars and then your proper attachments).

Thanks for the response.I really like the look of the OEM rack, and I love the security of it being hard mounted.

Nice looking for sure! What do you think of the Century Ultra cap? I am getting a cap in the spring and have narrowed my choices to the Century and the Leers (100XR or 100R). I think I am leaning toward the Century, so any imput you have would be appreciated. That has the double latches on the rear hatch, right? If you have any more pics you can post, that would be outstanding!!

That looks pretty cool. My only question is how functional is it being that the bars are so short? Have you put/ carried anything up there yet?
