Pulled trigger today on Prinsu. 7-8 weeks Damn that is some backlog. When I say I needed it yesterday, I really meant it.

I think you're good. 98 Saturn didn't collapse; nor a G2 taco. Dunno how fast you should go or what happens when you hit a good crosswind. I plan to find out in a few months once my Prinsu comes in.

My rack should be ready soon!
Will also be offering a cab rack that continues over the cab at the same height as the bed rack.
Both aluminum, both modular and many options will be available for both. Accessorie doors are optional as well. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Zach must be a busy guy. I couldn't get an answer to a question, so I just bought figuring they might pay more attention to a sale vs. a dreamer. I probably should not have, but I really couldn't find anything I liked better than Prinsu. Good luck with yours.

I've had a RTT atop my cab for a couple years now. It weights about 150. It sits on two oval Rhino Rack bars. The towers are mounted in the ditch/channel. The spouse and I sleep in it 15-20 nights a year. The tent folds over, so figuring the combined weight on the roof while we are in it isn't all that straight forward, but it's likely in the 300 lbs range.

The roof is designed to handle a roll over crash.

I sent an email to Rhino's customer service asking what brackets those are. Eight days later I get a response saying they're "for special trucks only" and what truck do I have. Ah the same one in the photo, that's why I asked. We'll see if I get response in another eight days. Not the greatest response rate.

Prinsu definitely worth the wait IMO. Looks compliment the truck better than any other design (even Frontrunner) - based on a lot of compliments I get on the rack. Only downside is that for the things I typically use it for (aside from lumber, ladders, etc., occasionally), i'm trying things down which means wrapping webbing around the bars to secure my kayak / paddle straps. It's pretty tight under there, but the upside is that it sits so close to the cab and is bulletproof for more than enough weight to carry your stuff!

I wanted to get the Prinsu because as someone else said, I think aesthetically it compliments the truck the best. But I am planning to move across country in 2 months and the uncertainty of getting it in time wasn't an option. I went with the Frontrunner because they have them in stock and my research showed good things. Purchased on a Thursday night and it was at my door on Tuesday, and I finished install yesterday (took probably 3-4 hours total as cutting the ditch molding is a PITA. It sits a bit higher on the truck then I may have preferred but I am starting to love the look, and the build quality is absolutely phenomenal! Frontrunner also offers a ton of accessories that a lot of the other companies don't. Time will tell, but so far I am extremely pleased.
