    On my last car (Mazdaspeed3) Thule and Yakima both had feet that bolted to the roof. Wish Toyota would've put places in the roof grooves for the same thing so you wouldn't need to clamp to the door frame.

    You do. It's located under your weather stripping. You have 8 bolt holes from the factory. I have a baja rack made especially for the taco that will hold 200 lbs. ordered from Southeast Overland.

    Google or search Tacoma OEM racks. The holes are there but under some double sided tape that has been painted over at the factory. A sharp blade can cut it off and expose them for mounting the OEM rack or the baja rack. Hope this helps.

    Ah, gotcha. Guess that makes sense. Don't want water and other junk sitting in the holes if you're not using them. Doesn't look like Thule takes advantage of them though, but I think Yakima does with one of their racks. If/when I do get one, I definitely don't just want the clamp down kind. Want a bolt on for sure.
