I’m looking into getting a RTT and was looking for some advice. I have a snug top camper and it’s only rated to 200lbs. So I’m looking into getting a roof rack that will support the RTT. What rack would you guys recommend. I’m looking at trying to buy a used RTT and what to stay under 500 bucks for the roof rack.

For 500 you'll probably have to get a used rack as well. Have you considered a set of bed bars? Could probably get a set of those for 250-300.

The Kb Voodoo rack is around 600.

Just curious, is it rated at 200 lbs for static or dynamic weight?

Because if that's dynamic weight, you might be fine.

I didn’t know there was 2 types of weight ratings. I’ll call them Monday and find out.

You said roof, so I’m assuming you’re keeping the shell and want something over the cab- if that’s right, look at Rhino Racks. It will top out your budget but they have some great solutions that are ditch mounted to the cab. They even have an option with a QR that you can detach the entire rack when you don’t need it. They also sell a version where you replace the weather strips with a rail system which gives the rack some adjustability.

Should be more than enough for a RTT. Haven’t pulled the trigger myself, but did the research for this set up a while back.
