i am thinking about getting a Baja Roof rack for my truck and would like to get a tent for it but the weight limit for it is 200lbs and I am not sure if that will hold up a tent plus people.

Better off with a bed rack and add the rtt to that. I’m thinking it could be done but damaging the cab wouldn’t be a risk I’d want to take. My $.02

3" Lift Bed rack w/ CVT tent Tepui Awning Lots of love
What kind of RTT are you looking at? Most weigh at least 50 LBS and if you weigh say the national average of male Americans over 20 which is 197.9 Lbs. then you definitely can't use that rack. Especially consider that when you are in there and you shift or turn, you are redistributing weight unevenly across the rack. Bottom line you need a high quality steel frame roof rack or a bed rack. I went with a bed rack and couldn't be happier.
