roof replacement

    i need to save my truck and myself, this is the roof pic, its bonded material that was put on when we brought it back from salvage, now its peeling off. I want to make it right, does this require new roof

    It really depends on what the metal looks like under the bondo. The bondo needs to come off as it looks like rust is coming up through it from the metal below. The only real way to tell is to sand it down and see what's underneath.

    Oh boy, that looks pretty rough. Could a good body shop recover this without having to cut it off and start over? Maybe, but I'm thinking a new roof is probably in your future.

    no, it had roof damage previously from a tree fall i think, my old mechanic just put some bonded material on it

    You could try taking a grinder to it but it seems that the best course of action is to reskin it.
