Hey guys - if you have a sunroof, is there much to sound deaden on the underside of the roof? I ask bc the sunroof has a steel plate behind it and I’m not sure there’s space to add dynamat between the headliner and that plate .. so before I remove it I’m asking you guys if there’s that much to deaden

Have you applied sound deadening material on the floor, doors, and back of cab?

Question is really just about the roof. The back story is I’m going to have to get the headliner dropped for another reason and so should I be there to add in some dynamat. I will get other parts deadened later.

Not sure on the wires, but there was a decent difference. The sunroof quickly becomes the noise source. I feel like covering that would help as well.

I honestly can't remember how much I used for that area it's been so long. The tape was just because I was doing overkill. Likely unnecessary, but every little gain counts for something!

Anyone know the gap size between the sheet metal and the headliner? I’m asking because I plan to install dynamat extreme and then dynaliner on top and the dynaliner comes in 1/8”, 1/4” and 1/2” and I don’t want to go too thick and cause issues reattaching the headliner. If it’s unknown I’ll just go with 1/8”.
