Does anyone know of a resource that gives location of support beams in roof of truck? Without taking down headliner.

Nothing exact that I'm aware of but looking at photos of a Tacoma with the headliner removed can give a rough estimation

I’d Google Tacoma with headliner removed and click images.

This is from my second gen Access Cab, you should be able to estimate position in reference to the half door latch, but be aware, it is a very thin gauge stamped steel bracket, sharp is all get out, will cut you up, and it's really not structural.

I don't know what you're planning to do but if you're wanting to drill into it to support something from the outside, I don't think it's going to do it, it'll bend, I could easily pull it away from the roof skin by hand in order to slide the Dynamat in, and if you're planning on hanging something from it from the inside through the headliner, I wouldn't hang more than about 5 lb from it.

Another way to locate it is pulling the dome light, the dome light is used to support the headliner in the middle by clipping into that crossmember.

But again there really isn't much at all to it, it's just there to support the headliner, Mount the dome light and that's it. Again this is from my second gen access cab, but the third gen should be the same, and I suspect the double cabs are the similar where the dome light affixes to the middle center of that cross beam.

I just googled exactly that and went to images and quite a few came up.

I’m going to build a molle rack for the overhead. I can’t find one that I like, so I’m going to make it. Just trying to figure out possible anchor points.
