Roof wrap woes.

    Both? It might scratch the vinyl on a particularly nasty branch, but at least it wasn't the paint. Vinyl is pretty durable, too

    I was just wondering why someone would wrap only the roof vs. the entire truck if they were concerned about protecting the paint because IMHO the roof is the least likely part of the truck to get damaged.

    Canopy, fitted seat covers, OBA with self leveling air bags, 100w solar, dual Rhino Rack Pioneer platforms, side & rear LED work/FU lights, CB, cell booster. 7x16 cargo conversion, 3" lift, 7'x6.5' fold down aluminum rear deck.
    Mostly for looks. Though it does provide a bit of protection. Keeps bird crap from eating the clear, can help prevent scratches from tree branches and "oops" moments when loading/unloading items from roof racks, and can help colors that are prone to rapid fading.

    it was purely for looks.
    the dealership had the truck done this way. wheels, badges, grill, and roof all blacked out. it was a showroom model for advertising some of the options we can offer to customers to "make their trucks unique."

    I would like to see how the wrap held up after 10 years of southeastern Illinois hot -n- humid summers.

    I have a couple scratches on my roof I never saw until I owned the truck for a couple days. Thought about covering them up.
