Hey, I am kinda in the same boat as you. I'm looking at a bed rack that would sit exactly 15/16" higher than my cab roof rack. So I would have exactly 15/16" clearance between the bottom of the RTT mounting rails and the top of my cab roof rack. Would that be enough to prevent any contact?

I ended up using some 1" spacers that netted me about the same (roughly 7/8") clearance above my cab rack. I think the important thing to note is how far the tent will extend above your cab. It doesn't seem that there's really any sort of published number for how much space is needed to account for flex, but in my research, it seemed I didn't find anybody running less than 3/4" space, and most seemed to settle for 1" being a safe bet. I think you'd probably be just fine, and worst case scenario, you add a washer/spacer or two to net you some more height if needed.
