rookie...i need help with coilovers

    Ok so I'm a rookie in the offroad worl I've only been getting into it in the last few months and I want to buy some coilovers for my truck but idk what to get... I have a 08 4cyl 5lug if u experienced guys can give me some ideas for parts that would be great

    It is all a preference. There are Kings, Fox, Toytec, Saw, and Fabtech who all make a coilover. King's are usually seen as the best quality. As for the others they all have their pro's and con's. I am rocking Toytecs and love em I do offroad a little but mainly keep it on the road and they get both jobs done. I guess what you really need to ask yourself is how much wheeling will you be doing and than you can evaluate which coilover best suits your needs

    The only problem is I have a real hard time finding coilovers that fit on my model... the 5 lug

    well than find out which ones you can get to fit a 5 lug i dont know that off the top of my head and than check to see which one is best for what youll being using them for

    Total Chaos makes a long travel kit specifically designed for the 5-lugger. They have the front and rear kits, but are fairly expensive. If you are just looking to simply put coil-overs on, you're probably SOL.

    Engage Offroad long travel front and rear with some fat tires.
    my buddy Cody has a 2nd gen 5 lug with SAWs coilovers...

    look them up...

    TC offers a mid travel set up for 5 lugs. i'm not sure exactly which CO's you need to run with the TC upper arms but TC lists part #'s so you can find the right ones.
