Hey TNReb ......not sure if it's the same quality as your part but I saw a tip identical to yours at Advance Auto for $19 a while back.

Thanks for the replies. I spent a good bit of time searching for my answer before posting. I know how it goes - nobody wants to answer the same questions over and over. I searched tacomaworld for threads with "exhaust tip" in the title and read tons of them - none of which had my answer.

I understand that the tip is bolt-on. I just wasn't sure if it bolted on directly, or if I had to trim back the exhaust pipe first. I think I understand now that it just bolts on directly.

Yota Lover.... no offense taken. I've been around other boards long enough to know how it is when new people come around and start asking rookie questions. Unfortunately, sometimes the quickest way to learn is to simply ask.

No cutting required. I had the same one on a previous truck. I would suggest using some loctite on the bolt for the clamp though. Mine fell out after a couple years. I just welded it on after that. The exhaust on these is an oddball size at the end of the pipe where a tip attaches. It's like 2.75". I actually cut a tapered tip meant for a 2.5" exhaust with a 3" outlet to fit my current truck and welded it on.

Removed the mud flaps. Put in a new AFE air filter.
How did it work out for you? I am thinking about doing the same thing.

Man you shouldn't need to apologize for his behavior. He was just being rude. If he didn't want to answer the same question over and over again he didn't need to say anything. If someone frustrates you on a forum it is more polite and constructive to leave that page and read somewhere else, rather than make people feel like crap and argue.

Some people on here make me real made when they put people down like that...they have no class...

Anyways I hope you are enjoying your Toyota and any mods you choose to make. No question is a stupid question.
