So i thought it might be a good idea for anyone with a rooted android to post up new roms or anything you might have found.

i know there is a favorite android app thread but maybe if we could keep this rooted phones only? or if you have a question about rooting your android ask up hopefully there is someone who can help on here.

Ill start, here a link to the Sideload wonder machine for windows, its great and reallyyy easy to use if you want to sideload an app

I did the whole Cyanogen 7 thing on my Nexus One for a while. Ended up going back to stock. It actually seems a little faster. Gingerbread is the shit.

Whats the difference. Not that I could do it. I would turn my phone into a paper weight if I tried.

it basically gives you more control over your phone.

I am using setCPU and with my settings i have been conserving soooo much battery, i might try using juice defender and see how that one works. I also need to read up more on ROMs. Does anyone use the ROM manager

x2 on the drocap, i think its the best one i tried.

I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
i've been running cm7 rc1, the rc2 got my phone going all kinds of crazy. had to recover back.

My suggestion to htc users, even if you love sense, root and load up a senseless rom. something aosp preferably, your battery life gets exponentially better (at least it did for me).

also, it finally looks like tablets are going to drop in price (unless its the xoom). I just picked up a new viewsonic gtablet for 275 last week. rooted it immediately. Its amazing how fast those tegra 2's are.

i have the fascinate and my friend rooted his captivate which are basically the same thing. Check out xda-developers.com and androidcentral.com those are the two i go to a lot for in depth stuff. Check out youtube too, that actually helped a little bit. i know android central has a channel on there and they showed how to use the sideload wonder machine so im sure there are other good videos by them.

The need of this kinda depends on how you want to install ROM's/make flash back-ups. ITs nice because you can make an exact copy of EVERYTHING on your phone so if you mess something up, you just install the copy it made and EVERYTHING is put back. Even down to txts msgs .
Its also really nice to flash ROM's, just select what ROM you want from your SD card and BAMMMMM it goes to work. :D
