    This is what I used: M8 x 1.25 x 20mm. I had the spray paints and wire brush, so the total cost of the project was $7.

    Was just going to ask what bolts; thanks!

    I may go with security bolts (that require the hole in the allen key/wrench); don't want my rope hooks getting stolen :crapstorm:

    center cap of hooks. I think the 2 bolts with crusty ends came from the driver side front but don't remember even one day later after the removal

    yes, my flashlight with a magnet stuck right up to them
    it was a bold discovery lol
