    Hi folks,
Picked up the Rotopax bed rail mounting bracket for Toyota/Nissan today and already the powder coating is flaking off in multiple places. Didn’t notice that until I got it out of the bag. So, I’m not happy (they’re C$53 up here!) and will reach out to Rotopax as it hasn’t even been mounted! In the meantime, are there any other quality options for mounting a 2 gal Rotopax using the bed rails? I’ve done a search and nothing has really popped up. I do have a Diamondback Cover so will likely need to have the Rotopax itself oriented horizontal. Thanks!

I used the Rago bed rail mounts with 2 gallon cans horizontal so they work with my bed cover.

@manncyclesupply that’s exactly the set up I’m looking to do. Thanks for posting.

EDIT: one question @manncyclesupply, did you need to use the extensions to get the Rotopax low enough to still close the cover?

The extensions won’t work because the BakFlip cover requires the bed rails to be lowered. The bracket without the extension works perfect. I’ll get you a photo with the can removed.

I know this is an old thread but @manncyclesupply this is the setup that I am looking to go with as well for my 2022. The question I have is with the recovery board mount and the BakFlip cover. What mount (same Rago?) are you using and is it attached to a standard header rail that is lowered as well to accommodate the cover? Was it a PITA to lower the rails for the BakFlip? Thanks for the help and info!
