Thats why you need a cold air intake. It boosts MPG's.

Although I do think rotopax are inferior to scepter/NATO cans for fuel. I've heard of countless people who have the thing swell so much, and some it swells so much that it punctures itself on the locking mount.

No one is looking down on anyone. Gas has its purpose and if you need it, take it. but everything everyone has said so far is bullshit. Eagle Mountain to Ibapah using the pony express trail is 152 miles on straight dirt road. I average about 19 mpgs on dirt roads, and 15+ when offroading..

Just goes to show how different everyone's truck is and how some people actually do need fuel. Although I will agree that most probably don't.

Yeah no thanks. That's why I'm happy with my steel jerry can. Seal is stupid tight and doesn't leak or throw fumes. I even store it on it's side

I’ve heard rotopax wear through and start leaking where the stud goes through the tank. Mainly from guys who do a lot of off-road. Grit and sand gets in there and they didn’t make the plastic thick enough in that spot.

    Is that still a concern?

I carry mine for a different reason. My gas gauge has never worked, so I go off the trip meter and carry the spare fuel as a back up  I'm way too lazy to fix it.

I go off the trip meter too, habit since the sensor in my Jeep went bad, the gauge dances when the fuel splashes around and I'm too lazy to drop the tank.

BUT if we were wheeling, I would carry fuel for you since your rig likes to chug

So are we saying Rotopax and Gas tanks are the equivalent to a pocket square or Cufflinks? :argue:
