I have a Sherpa rack and using their plates to attach the rotopax mount. What I'm finding is that no matter how I orient it, the rotopax itself ends up resting on the 4 screws holding the plate to the rack. It's enough that it's starting to wear holes in the the rotopax itself.

I have two thoughts. One, put some sort of spacer on the plate so that the rotopax rests on those not the screws, but I'm having a hard time envisioning what might work. Option 2 I guess is to forego the Sherpa plate and just attached the mount right to the crossbars. I supposed that would work, but I kind of feel like the full rotopax would rock back and forth torquing the bars.

If you have a similar issue, what solutions have you found?
