Rotor and Brake Pads

    2.5 inch lift, 285/75r16s, upgraded stereo system, Magnuson mp90 supercharger system.
    This is kinda a funny statement. Some oem stuff is much better quality over most aftermarket parts. Front axles are a good example of this. And there are some parts that are of higher quality then what you get on other vehicles but brake parts are a little different. There is absolutely nothing wrong with oem pads and rotors that are made to fairly high standard’s but Toyota has several different vendors they get there pads from. Oem means original equipment manufacturer. That means parts made for Toyota not by Toyota. One of the suppliers is (or was it could have changed) a company called Akebono. They supply Toyota, Honda, GM, Nissan, Subaru and a few more. I believe they have different vendors for rotors but I can’t remember those off hand but if we both bought oem there is a good chance we would be getting something from completely different companies made to the same spec and saying Toyota pads are better then other cars pads is like saying Walmart Pepsi is better then gas station store Pepsi.
