Flushed the stock brake fluid DOT 3 this evening. Replaced with DOT 4 fluid in Prep for the install wednesday. Another 1500 miles will be on her by then.

I wish I had bigger rims so that I could do a brake upgrade but alas, no one makes anything I like the looks of.

Took me forever to fund/find the set I thought was visually appealing to me in a bead lock. I'll look at the guide for wheel size vs rotor size

    Awesome, bet you're stoked.

The calipers didn't look big sitting in the box. Look real beefy with your hand as reference, unless you have girly hands lol.

send them an email or give them a call. You never know what kind of deal you can get ;) The site catalog is being updated and soon to be re published. Great company to work with thus far.

Might do a 4 disk break conversion in the future. Researching rear ends right now and whats all involved in the kits out there.

Would these fit with the stock 17" rims?

Edit: Nevermind I see that info in post #10 :)

I'm very interested in hearing your review. Pardon the ignorance or maybe I missed it, but are you doing fronts only?

Seems like your front brakes will be amazing while the rear drums still suck. make sure you brake in a straight line. It seems safer when all the brakes suck equally.

The 1st gen and 2nd gen Tacoma does not have a rear disk break setup. There is only 1 company that does the rear conversion right now. Thats the StopTech kit. They only do up to 355mm kit for the fronts and unsure on the rear kit.

I had planned to swap out my rear end to the non e-locker as it is already for the ARB Locker. If I can find another swappable rear end with disk brakes already, it would be nice.

already put couple thousand miles in a week on them. performed flawlessly so far.

Make sure you adjust them properly, pretty sure there are some horror stories from putting discs in the rear on trucks..

Proportioning valves. Read plenty on it.

was looking at these specs for a swap. TACO vs FJ

    [IMG][IMG]

Pretty damn close. Fraction of an inch off. For the REAR TRACK

I would. Even if it is just to see what they are all about. From the couple people I have interactions with, they are great.
