    I'm considering going with the Rough Country 2" Leveling Kit. I've heard mixed reviews about simple spacer leveling kits in general and was wondering if anyone had tried one. Is it an affordable way to improve your stance or a waste of time that will cause future issues?

    There are better options, when it comes to performance. They cost more. If you want the look but only drive around town, you'll be fine.

    TW will suggest you spend thousands on your lift (I did). If you're not doing it for performance, put in the spacers. There are literally thousands of those kits on the road. Very few of them have caused problems.

    Good to know, it's a PreRunner so there's really not much off road application. Just looking to run a little bigger rim and tire.

    Look into lift spindles. You'll spend a little more, but if you decide to upgrade suspension you won't have wasted your money.

    Oh, and there's plenty of off road potential in a Prerunner

    Check out @ChadsPride 's 4" Prerunner mall crawling machine. He's no hardcore off-roader, but his truck is effing rad!

    There are a bunch of badass prerunners on here.

    I'd look into Maxtrac 4" lift spindles and Dakar leaf packs

    That's what I am running and have zero complaints!!!

    @RedRocketTaco There are several ways to lift your 2wd one of which is spindles like @ChadsPride mentioned. Those are not available for 4wd so you don't hear about them as often. if you would like to go over your options please feel free to PM me :)

    2.5" can affordably be attained by piecing the following together.
    5100s set at 0, eibach 2.5" coil springs up front, wheelers AAL out back.
    Smooth ride, better than 5100's by themselves with stock springs.

    Not a ton of info on the eibach 2.5 springs but they are great imo.

    Spindles, i can honestly say ive never heard of lift spindles. Looks good though
