I wouldn't recommend it unless you ride in someone's vehicle that has that lift kit. I've heard numerous people complain about how stiff rough country's shocks are. Plus those blocks that lift your rear are really harsh over bumps and (I may be wrong here) decrease how much weight you can carry in the truck bed. I'd recommend Old Man Emu, Bilstein, Icon, King, or FOX.
OME lift kits gives you brand new leaf springs, Icon gives you AAL's, Icon is the 'luxury' of 3-6" lifts and I've heard great things about them.

Rough country is basically a Wal-Mart lift

I know someone who put it on a 4 runner and ran 285/75 with wheel spacers. .said it runs good, haven't drover with him. I can't find anything that goes to 3 inch height without a full blown lift or spending over a 1000. All the coil overs only go to 2.5

Spend 1500 to 1700 and get a decent lift. 3" will likely require upper control arms to get proper alignment specs. Also will Probably need to do ecgs needle bearing replacement. See my signature below for links on ecgs as well as tire fitting

Buy once cry once. Spend the money to do it all right the 1st time. Otherwise you'll be paying more money to tear it back apart and buy new parts to replace the shitty parts you installed in first place.

If you are tight for money and want to go spacer lift, I would find a kit without those shocks or struts. I think the stock ones are probably better than rough country from what I've read. My truck came new with a readylift kit on it with 275/70/17's and it does just fine. I don't off road but like the looks and a little bit of extra clearance for the heavy snows I have to plow thru in the winter.

My buddy has a rough country kit on his jeep. The rides rough and I wouldn't recommend it.

I'd just buy a good lift instead of this one. Get some Bilsteins and a add a leaf. Just my opinion.

I was also considering the 275/70s as I don't want to realy deal with trmiming and rubbing

Thanks for the info guys. I went to some local tire shops and they can get bulstine coil overs for $800 for the front. Can get two matching shocks for the back 120 each so little over 1000. They go up to 2.75 or 2.5 height I think. If I go 2.5 or 2 inch you think I can fit 275/70 r17 with no trouble?

It's 3/2. But it actually turned out to be just under 2.5 front, 2 rear. If you go spacer or coilerover lift, don't go over 2 to 2.5 in front. You will start running into bigger issues.

You'll most likely have to trim. There are guys running 3" lifts running 275s that have to trim. If you dont want to trim stick to the sizes as suggested in the links in my signature below. Lift alone won't increase size of tire you can run.

did they say what Bilsteins? 800 for the front alone is pretty high.
