I think that might be a little harsh. Billies have a stellar reputation for a reason. Hundreds of guys run 5100's at all 4 corners with an AAL. It's the best budget true suspension lift for the price.

The OP stated he wanted a lift for looks and mild off road trips to hunt. Billies will meet and exceed those limitations with ease. If the OP was doing more extensive off roading then a new leaf pack would be recommended. But Homertaco and DonnoD run billed up front on their rigs and they wheel a lot.

Either way the billies for the OP's stated budget will be the best bet IMHO.

Are you saying that Bilistien 5100's on all 4 corners..?
What is AAL...?
What is the Lift height that you will get from this, front and Rear..?

I keep reading things on here and when I go to my local truck place they tell me something different... I was actually suppost to bring my truck in there this morning for a rough country lift but I have cancelled it because of what I found on this website.... I have the same interest as the OP (want a lift, dont do much off road with the exception of hunting) Thanks in advance for the help....

New leaf pack is better but will cost you $400+. Stock leafs suck balls. I have Billie 5100 all around with Toytec 1.5" AAL/TSB and OME 884 coil overs. I bought a Leer topper and factory Leafs with TSB and AAL are hurting. If I were you on a budjet I would do...

TSB if you can with AAL.

OME coil overs.

Do all the work yourself. I took the stock shocks off and took them to a shop down the street to put together the front coil overs. $30 for the work. I hate spring compressors. I used them on my 1997 lift and they scare me. This will cost you around $700 and you would have a nice lift.

 

TSB AAL= $85
Bilistien at 4 corners $335
OME Coils (is this the same as coil overs, see link below) $170

Total=$590 (did i miss something and is this correct)

What advantage does changing out the coils give you..?
Can I do without the changing the coils?
Will I only have 1" of down travel on the Bilistien if I use the 2.5" setting?
What about Brake Lines? Will they need to be lengthened?
