Anyone used the rough country tonneau cover? Looks solid for $600.

Watching this thread as I just noticed this online for the same price range, and based on what I see, it looks good. My first thoughts are maybe it's a Chinese knock off of a popular brand. https://www.roughcountry.com/toyota-hard-tri-fold-bed-cover-45716501.html

Edit - I just chatted with someone from the Rough Country website and they claim it is made in the US. They claim the panels are aluminum.

Looks exactly like the toyota cover with a different logo. Same latches. Same hardware. Logo is even in the same spot

One of my neighbors down the street has a 2019 Tacoma TRD Sport. He has a cover he said was OEM he ordered it from the dealer. I looked at it today and it has a logo for Rugged Cover II in the right rear corner. It is all aluminum and looked pretty nice. It had led lights on the inside too. They retail for just over $800 on the net. It's not Toyota branded.

Some others I have seen posted with the Toyota cover have not liked them and said aftermarket would be better. I guess it depends on the year, etc. I had a Subaru Forester and the company gave me a $500 certificate to use at the stealer, so I got a roof rack. It was the Subaru "OEM" roof rack, but it was the Thule Canyon XT rack. In the same Thule box, with Thule decals on it, nothing Subaru about it, except for the $150 stealer markup, but I had a coupon and it was worthless anywhere else so....

Does yours have rubber flaps on the sides or is it aluminum railing all around? How about the LED lights inside? Thanks

Haven't bought one yet. Betting it's a rough country with a $200 mark up and rebadged. Been comparing them. Getting ready to put my money where my mouth is and get the rough country.

@LSUfan1975 - Did you ever buy the Rough Country? Wondering how it fits and your thoughts on it.

Except with the Rough Country one you don't have to make any bed rail modifications. (looking at this tonnau also and in my research found this old thread)
