Anyone paired the JBA UCA with the Vertex 3.5"?

At full droop or even jacking up the truck. Does the UCA Touch the control arms? I'm okay if it's MM close, but as long it's not touching I okay with that.

I think we’ve been over this before… But Im on the 3.5s and JBA UCAs. I have been in some pretty flexed out positions and never had an issue.

My bad you're right aha. Gotten busy and forgot about this tread. Just tryna catch up. By any chance, could you post pics of the control arms at full droop when you jack up your truck? I'm just trying to get a reference how far the control arms drop with this kit and how close they'll be to the coilovers.

And btw, does your uca squeak? Mine squeaks likes crazy

Ya know they did for a couple weeks after a wheeling trip. I changed the kind of grease I use and flushed them out. No more squeak.
I have some pictures of full droop but none that show how much space there is.

this isn’t full drop but it’s the best I can do for now. I can get 2 fingers between the UCA and coil spring

What grease did you switch to? Does it really not squeak anymore since you switch or still happens but barely?

And man, I need someone with your exact setup to jack up the truck where the tires doesn't touch anymore so I can see full droop if it touches the uca. Because I really don't want to drop money on new arms that are compatible with this lift on top of that, the install on the arms are kind of a pain already.

I've recently swap back to stocks from my eibach stage 2 kit. Ride is way better, I got a lil more travel with the 2.25" lift spacers. Just needs 0.5"-1" more of lift to match up from my previous setup.

Okay thanks! What grease were you using previously? I'd grease mine, and not even the next oil change I'm squeaking like crazy

Was using a starfire red grease. Switched to Lucas red n tacky as well. My squeak came back yesterday but I just came back from a weekend of off roading so there’s likely a bit of dust and water in there. I’ll flush them out with fresh grease and they’ll be fine till the next wheeling trip

sorry, one more question. in this photo were you flexing the truck, or was it on flat ground?

Does anyone know how the RC vertex compare in ride quality to the stock trd pro fox shocks?
A buddy gave me his set of barely used vertex shocks. So I’m not sure if I want to swap them out or sell them instead.

Well for conversations sake…I have just the front set and they were on his truck for about 3 months of light use he said. I looked online and they go for around 1,200. I also didn’t get the mounting plate for the reservoir so will have to decide if I want need that for the sale. What do you think they’re worth?

I’d probably take any reasonable offer.

Story time. So I got my RC 3.5 Vertex kit back in June. For some reason I can’t get this kit to work with my 2015 TRD Pro. I’m about to be on 7th set of CVs since then. The shop that I am close with and I have been trying to get this kit to settle and work. We recently got the kit to be able to go down below the 24 inch hub to fenders measurement and it still blows my axles. I have been in contact with RC RnD team and haven’t really gotten an answer back. I been fortunate to borrow a family vehicle while I try and not tear my truck up anymore than I want to. But I’m running out of both patience and time as I travel for work and need to be able to drive my truck for a lot of the work I do. I’m hoping to be able to get RC to swap me over to a 3in kit. Their customer service is top notch and they will stand behind their products. This kit went from being 4k$ to near double that with time and cost. I am at this point considering taking it all out and going with a completely different setup.

That’s sucks man! I’m sure you were super excited to get some lift on your truck and now it’s been out of commission and a money pit. Maybe it’s time to try a different set up and see if the same thing keeps happening with the cv.

Got to talk to one of the head customer service guys today. I had expressed that I believe the 3.5in was just too tall and wasn’t working well. And I had planned on just snagging a M1 3in setup just to get me by. They said replied with ok we’ll send it out. I got a whole lift kit for free with some of extra stuff for free and they said don’t worry about sending back the vertex 3.5 shocks and struts. He also expressed that even though the UCAs and leaf springs state they are for the 3.5 kit they should work with a 3in kit no problem. The customer support was absolutely top notch and I’m excited to receive a free kit to use. I’ll post an update. I do believe the vertex kit works. It’s shame it wasn’t working on my truck. The 3in kit might work but considering I most get highway miles due to my work. I know the m1 kit will work great. If anyone is interested in an update on if I keep blowing axles let me know. Thanks!

I have the vertex 3.5 lift in front and a 2inch block in the back, I want to change the block to a leaf spring pack. What are y’all using. I’ve seen the 2inch packs and the 2.75. I’m having trouble deciding which one to get. My truck has a slight lean empty and when I hook up the boat it leans a lot. I don’t like the look when the back is higher than the front. What do yall recommend?
