10-4. I’ll stay away for the Taco.

Like I said- they were great for fords, but I’m beyond that brand now.

Any advice on a 2-3” kit?

I have been researching and, from what I read, I would stay away from spacers and blocks. Probably fine for all a normal person would ask their truck to do. However, normal people don't own a Taco.

Nothing wrong with a spacer lift. I can’t believe the jaded taco owners here. It’s an IFS truck, it will never be a Jeep so a better suspension, isn’t gonna do much for any reds or blacks I’ve been on. We are limited by so much more than expensive suspensions.

If you need a lift for larger tires and ground clearance, RC is fine from their budget boosts(spacers) to full kits. So many experts on here that think you gotta spend 4K just look like you can go off road lol. Not hating but damn, wake up and smell the rocks. Just pisses me off so many brand fan boys with our jap trucks. Get what you want and what you can afford and if you need more then upgrade when money allows.

This is coming from a dude who has built many jeeps and trucks. Not trying to sound mean but getting tired of the “oh you need X brand to even wheel bro”

Get what you want and can justify in price. Trust me, with an IFS, $100-$1500 isn’t gonna net you much on most trails. Good thing with the spacers is you keep the stock ride and feel which is pretty comfy to me.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to drop some coin on some real long travel coil overs, but a lot of us will be fine with some spacers to drive around on any national Forrest trails or what not. Then upgrade as you see fit. But stop the budget bashing please.

Rant off:) beers to all I pissed off, sorry:(

Good advice and thank you “bro”.

I live in coastal central Florida. No rocks and crazy trails here. My truck is a 20K mike a year daily driver. I going for looks and ground clearance for those curbs I have to hop to do a u turn every now now and then.

Lol then you will be fine with spacers man. I have them now and don’t plan to upgrade until I SAS it or trade it lol. I love the taco for everything it is that is not a Jeep, if that makes sense. It’s fun to drive, looks good, can handle most trails, can tow, haul, can get me places most trucks can’t etc... but it doesn’t need much to be great, it’s really good stock! Just enjoy it and do what you want. And trust me, I had the cash for a “real” lift, but couldn’t justify it Bc I don’t wheel every weekend or hit off road parks like Rausch Creek anymore.

You would better off buying armor or recovery gear, Bc spacers or expensive lift... chances are you could be getting stuck on the same obstacles lol.

No worries! I was just trying to keep the guy from "taking it down a notch." I think the stock setup is better that the block/spacer add on is all. I am thinking Toyota could sell a Tacoma that sets 10 feet tall and someone would want a 2" lift kit...

The spacers keep the stock ride completely. Feels just as good as stock to me. it's "on top" spacers up front (with diff drops) and blocks in the rear. Nothing changes as far as spring rates. I will say with my camper shell and gear I put in the back, the stock leafs may not stay too long:( but I knew that going into it. I carry way more than I ever need.. it's the 1 is none, and 2 is one type thing lol.

LOL, I have been looking, exactly, at going 2" front and 1 inch back. Spending as little a possible with out loosing any capability or function...

TACEBCS - Toytec/Eibach Complete Front Coilovers - 2" Lift (16+Tacoma), I had these picked out and a 1 inch block for the rear for around $650, but my brother talked me out of putting a 1inch block in the rear. I still haven't talked to anyone that has installed these Eibach front coilovers The two of these would put it around $750 plus alignment.
