My 2010 Tacoma TRD 4X4 with automatic transmission started feeling a liitle rough. It just happened one day on a road trip. Everything drives fine other than a slight vibration at the floor board and pedals. I had one garage guy drive it who said it was probably a rear wheel bearing. Then had a nother mechanic drive it who said he wasn't sure what it was. Took it to Toyota dealership, they said everything is looks normal. But it's not running smooth like it should be. Has anyone experienced the same thing?

Does it increase/decrease or get worse with speed? Or with RPM?

No, it stays the same (at an idle, to 80mph +). Even in neutral. But i kind of feel it slightly more when i'm coming down in speed, from a high speed then just letting my foot off the gas. It's a subtle vibration and most people don't notice it until i point it out.

Bad motor or transmission mounts can cause vibrations. Maybe have someone check them.

I took it to a Toyota dealership to do a diagnostic check. They lifted it and took it for a test drive but they said everything looked normal. I even rode along with him for a second drive and pointed out the vibration. His reply was; "Yeah, i feel it but everything underneath was normal. So, there's nothing i can do for you."

Vibration in the floor and pedals. I would be looking at the drive shaft universal joints and center carrier bearing.

Yep, i looked at the drive shaft and it seemed fine. It's pretty new too. It could be the center carrier bearing though. I'll check it out more closely. How much play is there supposed to be in it? I've heard different things.

If your sitting in nuetral at idle and its still vibrates it dosen't seem like it would be anything in the drivetrains rotating assembly. But who knows weird things happen.

Right. I feel it as soon as i start it up and it's the same as i drive off. It's still pretty minor, so i'm hoping a 100k tune up will solve it before it gets worse.

I must have missed that. If it does it sitting still it isn't the drive line. Maybe clean the MAF Sensor and throttle body.

Ok, that makes more sense. I've been trying to narrow it down for about 4 weeks now.

How many miles are on it and when was the last time plugs were changed or any engine maintenance done?

It has almost 110k. I bought it at 85k and haven't done any engine maintenance or changed the sparkplugs. But that was crossing my mind yesterday.

At 110k I'd definitely definitely change the plugs just because you're overdue twice.
