    TW,

Need some advice. Started truck this morning and it started acting weird. Idle was ranging from 500-900 and the truck was stuttering and shaking bad while driving. Wouldn't go over 50 without shaking real bad.

I immediately took to my trusty local mechanic. Cylinder 6 misfire. Compression and spark are good. He recommends replacing all 6 fuel injectors to start. The OEM fuel injectors are $200 a pop. Looking at $1400 with labor.

    Anyone else come across this?

If so what else should he replace while he's in there?

That sounds like wayyyy too much. I think motorwest sells them reconditioned for a fraction of that.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
    Are the spark plugs new?

rip off, if it is missfiring just switch the coil to see if it follows

The coils are only on 1-3-5. 2-4-6 are companion cylinders - waste spark system. If a coil goes bad it would take down two cylinders. It doesn't mean it can't be a wire though.

Price sounds right for new OEM injectors. If you don't think mechanic's right on the spark issue verify it yourself. A bad coil would put two cylinders out of commission though. Put a spark tester on coil 6 to verify it's not just the wire. Not sure if you're going to be able to stick something down onto the no. 6 injector w/o taking the intake plenum off but if you can get a screw driver or mechanics's stethoscope onto the injector you could listen for clicking to verify it's working. Also, pull the EFI fuse and crank it and listen for any abnormal rythm to the cranking to verify it's not a compression issue.
