    have you checked the fuel pressure regulator? Pull the vacuum line off and see if there is vacuum at the line at idle.

    Hey guys, sorry for the long-belated update.

    The problem ended up being a combination of a bad catalytic converter, which I ponied the $84 to replace. On top of the that, the largest culprit was a stuck EGR valve. I tried to apply vacuum to the valve using my brake-bleeder and it would not hold vacuum from either the inlet or the outlet air lines.

    I clamped off the coolant lines to the EGR valve and removed it. I placed a brass coupler between the coolant lines to allow coolant to continue flowing in its normal route unimpeded.

    I took some o2 sensor plates and welded the center hole closed with several beads of flux-core and then ground down the beads to create a flat plate that would fit over the exhaust manifold EGR tube outlet and the intake manifold EGR tube inlet. I bolted the two homemade plates into place using the stock nuts and bolts. I also painted them with high-temp Rustoleum before installing them to give them a nice look and to prevent rust and oxidation since they'll be exposed to some pretty high temps at load/operating temp.

    After removing the EGR and replacing the catalytic converter, the code went away. The truck no longer stalls and it now idles smoother than ever before. I ran a can of gumout through the gas tank to clean any build-up and deposits left as a result of driving the truck while the fuel ratios were astronomically out of range.

    I'm amazed at utterly useless and EGR valve is; if not detrimental in this instance.

    Now I'm trying to find a tool box that will fit in this ole bastard without breaking the bank...
