So I actually ended up purchasing the Eibach 620's.

    I'll keep everyone updated.

When I put 5100 on my Nissan I noticed a rough ride, it took a little time to break in or I got used to it. I bought this truck used and it has 5100 as well and the ride seems pretty smooth so I think there is a break in period.

While I have everyone here, instead of making a new thread (couldn't find my answer to this question), if I got a hi lift jack, and I have side steps, where would I jack up the taco if I needed to put the spare in?

Edit: I have 4 inch oval side steps

Haha I'm compulsive and seek instant gratification. So if there is a break in period, no way I could wait for it haha

Don't use your hi-lift on standard tubular step-bars. They aren't designed to support the weight of your truck like sliders are.

with stock bumpers and a hi-lift? Trailer hitch/drawbar. You shouldn't jack from the front bumper at all, just all plastic. I'm pretty sure the stock rear bumper would end up like this:

yeah my bumpers are all stock and i would not want that to happen to my bumper haha. so trailer hitch for the rear.....not sure what the drawbar is but im guessing thats up front

    hey guys......

ordered the eibach 620's with the 1/4 plate spacer for the driver side lean. getting them installed on wednesday morning. Also getting an alignment after the install. What should i tell the alignment technician? Im assuming these guys know what their doing, but should i ask for specific numbers caster, camber, toe wise? reviving the hell outta this thread because the install date is coming up and i would prefer not to have to do any other mods after this for a while.

Best/safest would be to skip using a Hi-Lift type farm jack since you don't have sliders and armor bumpers. There are few pieces of equipment that will literally kick the shit out of or kill offroad newbs and wannabees like a farm jack. But if you are determined to try and hurt yourself and/or the truck one of these will lift one rear corner to change a rear tire. http://www.amazon.com/Hi-Lift-Jack-BL-250-Bumper-Lift/dp/B00042JSNY/
    [IMG]

If you just need to lift a tire to put rocks, limbs, or traction boards under a corner then one of these is the ticket. http://www.amazon.com/Hi-Lift-LM100-Jack-LM-100-Lift-Mate/dp/B00042KGWG/
    [IMG]

In the end your stock screw jack plus a cheap bottle jack and some random pieces of lumber will do most anything you will be able to do with a farm jack and cause less havoc in the process.

Not on the oval side steps. For a Hi lift you need sliders. Welcome to TW. Now hand over your wallet.

haha yup, I've already spent too much money and only more to come. I wanted to get a hi lift jack because the truck is higher than stock, and I havent even tested the stock bottle jack to see if it would lift it if i haver had to use the spare

You want caster. There is a chart that explains it but I can't find it to link it. I am at 2.5 caster 5100s at.85 and 1/2 spacer and 1/4 spacer. The front end dives to much for my liking. I'll keep an eye on your build cause I was thinking of eibach 620's but the 3 inch ones set at.0.

ill look for the chart. Why do you have the spacers? what coils are you running now? And yeah, on wednesday ill report back wafter the installation. right now i have 5100's with the front set at 1.75 with stock 3+1 leafs in the back

they gave less of a lift. I was worried about being nose high with the 884's. the 620's settled my paranoia. I'd rather have a little rake than be nose high

883s would've been the next choice for less lift.

Hope you find an improved ride either way, brudda.
