I called the dealer asked if I could get the rear leafs done, he asked why, I told him, he said they would order the parts, which they did, I had them installed the other day, ABSOLUTELY NO HASSLE AT ALL, NO TEST, NO NOTHING, it took about 4 hrs of my time. and well worth it, anyone thinking they will get a rough ride should think again, it is a great improvement. it raised the truck about 1 3/4 inches, They installed the 4leaf system and 4 shocks, I am a happy camper, Doc

wow. they gave you shocks too!? that's awesome. I just hear about people getting an extra leaf. if I had a pre-runner i'd definitely jump on that deal.

It's not more rough, it's more solid. There's a big fucking difference between the two.

Sooooo much better after the TSB...the truck actually fights back against the terrain now.

This "car-like ride" in a truck business pisses me off... I understand why Toyota does it, and why it's a good business move, but that still doesn't mean I have to like it.

It's much better, definitely NOT very, very rough. I still get comments from riders about how smooth the Toyotas ride. Definitely do it. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

non-TRDs get shocks as well (front & back). It's the same shock that comes in the TRDs. Since TRDs already have them, they just get the leafs.

It was definitely an improvement for my '09. And my buddy said he couldn't even tell a difference in the ride when he had his Access Cab done.

I would definitely do it again.

The dealer is supposed to inform the customer that the ride may be noticeably stiffer. The TSB states this.

Have them loan you a Corolla while they are doing the TSB and drive it around for a while. Then see if you still think your Taco has a rough ride...

I had mine done and did 5100's all the way around with the front set at 2.5. The ride is not rough at all, it is more firm and the truck seems way more planted and doesnt "skitter" over bumps. A definate improvement!!

I just got mine back today and it does ride firmer but it should loosen up in time. It rides more like a truck now. I was worried that the dealer would not do the tsb, but they did with no questions asked. Re: Norton Toyota, Tulsa,Ok

Four leaf springs are factory offerings in Canada and no complaints here about the ride with the stock 16 inch wheels and tires.

The ride is a lot rougher with heavier 17 inch after market wheels and wider 265 series tires.
