i found something at work. there's a master cylinder adapter that goes from female 9/16x18 to male 3/8x24ish. the 9/16x18 is very close to the 14x1.5 threads on our fuel filters, and the 3/8x24ish thread almost goes perfectly into a 1/4 pipe tee. i tightened up a tee and it seems to work well with just me blowing into it. but i couldn't find anything with a shrader valve at work. not for fuel pressure at least. unless I hook up the valve direct with pipe thread. either way. it seems a loss. maybe someone else will run with this idea.

I would really like to get my hands on a fuel rail pipe and try to braze/solder a shrader valve somewhere in that. there's room for it i think....

and that's pretty much perfect right there. but im thinking it really is the FPR. so im going to save up for a new one.

any chance you guy think it's with the evap system? as in, the fuel tank isn't holding pressure and is the reason everythings awry, or something to that effect..

The EVAP system is very specific to containing and measuring tank pressure and rerouting fuel vapor. Every modern fuel pump, to the main fuel line, will have a check valve in place that holds pressure when the pump turns off. Once that pump stops, the EVAP system has nothing to do with the fuel thats held in the line. The EVAP vapor recirculation valve is ECU controled to only open with the engine running.

If there is any pressure loss on the backside of the fuel line, it will result from the check valve. Im assuming this valve is integral to the pump/sending unit, i havnt taken the tank apart in these cars to know first hand.

Interesting note. The EVAP system is the one OBD monitor that will stay active after the car is turned off. Newer cars will have their EVAP systems actively monitor tank temperatures and pressures, comparing its readings to acceptable values, and selectively bleed pressure for several hours after key off.
