I've done the 2.5" Rancho suspension, with the 1/4" plates on both sides, along with a 1" body lift. I also fit a 2" block in the rear, instead of the 1-1/2" block. My question regarding this set up is how much work would I have to do in regards to body-mount-chop, fender-cutting etc. to fit 295 (70-75-or wtvr) 18X9s???? Any informal insight would be much appreciated. This is my D-D, and love this forum...
Also, though not a full 35" tire, would 4:56 be an adequate enough gear for this set-up?? Thanks in advance everyone. Love these bad ass builds. Brothers of the Taco 4/L!!!!!

Cant really answer the questions but.....I have the Rancho quick lift 2.5 with 2 inch blocks in the rear. Running 265/70 R18 on 18x9 wheels and get no rub with no cutting. Cant help with the gear change as I am running stock.

Cutting will depend on your driving style. For street driving, you might have to only cut very minimal.

I am on 33's and I plan on going 4.56 gears. I know people that run 35's with 4.56 and love it. You should be fine.

Amount of trimming necessary will depend a lot on the wheel offset/backspace

Dudes, y'all are bad ass for answering, responding. Thanks so much. I'm currently on 285's and no rub, but I guess with help from the 1" body lift.
I may still cut the body mount to prep for 295, or even 305 if I can. 4.56 it is, as I've also heard it's not too rev happy on hwy....

Awesome. Thanks again. I'l keep on searching and going to tire shops to see what they would recommend....
I just did my trans flush, trans filter, and added the trans cooler in line with factory cooler since Texas heat is around the corner. The ride does seem much smoother now. Thanks again Bros of the Taco!!!

Hey Junebug, I also placed that 2" block in the rear. It makes a difference. I also have the Rancho with the upper a-arm and adjustable shocks. I've not had other kits to compare it to, but thus far I like the ride. I'll eventually upgrade shocks and such tho..... Had to get some height on this Taco. Factory no bueno...

Anyone done their ATF filter and fluid change?? I finally done did mine, and noticed lower rpm's. I asked a mechanic (me bro) how this was possible, and simple stated, less trans slippage. Made sense. I did the filter, a flush, added a secondary trans cooler in line with factory cooler, and all is well. I really love the lower rpm's. Brings fuel eco up a notch, but if I wanted fuel economy, I'd have bought a smart car. Anyhow, anyone else encounter lower rpm's??
