    I'm sorely tempted...

I've read the guides on the TRS site & looking for some confirmation.

Mini H1/Mini D2S Stage III kits:
    1. Heat up the headlight
    2. Pop off the lenses
    3. Mount the H1 or D2S module in the hole left by the original bulb fixture with no extra mods to the headlight assembly
    4. Mount shrouds
    5. Optional: BHLM & angel eyes while you are in there
    6. Seal everything back up with the aid of the oven again
    7. Mount ballasts, wiring harness, etc.

    FX-R:
Same as the Mini H1/Mini D2S Stage III kits except you have to chop up the headlight housing to make them fit instead of using the OEM mounting hole.

How plug & play is the harness going into a Tacoma?
What is the difference between the H1 & D2S

How quick are the payments needed? One day? One week? I just ask cause I'm out of town and reliable service/wifi this weekend. Be able to make my payment/purchase Monday or Tuesday though.

For mounting the mini gattling shround to the H1 projector, switch steps 3 and 4. The shroud screws into the projector itself, then you mount the whole thing into the headlight.

The harness is very plug and play. Anyone with very basic electrical knowledge can put this kit together. No soldering, crimping, etc of any kind is required, you just have to run the wires, zip tie them into place and everything plugs just plugs in. You just ground what needs grounding and give it power.

The difference between the D2S and the H1 is personal preference. They are the same difficulty level to install but the difference between the projectors is preference. The D2S has a more even beam pattern but the H1 is wider and brighter (more of a hot spot if you will). The D2S can be upgraded to OEM bulbs and ballasts if you're interested in that sort of thing where as the H1's can not, they are not an OEM part. Google D2S vs. H1 and you will find the debates on HIDPlanet on the pros and cons of the D2S vs. the H1s. You will be happy with either one, both are a huge improvement over stock lighting. Lastly, the D2S is a slightly larger projector so depending on the shrouds you want, the D2S might look a little better with the larger shrouds. Personally, I went with H1's with the mini gattling shrouds. If you go a few pages back, or in my gallery, you can take a look at my retrofit for a visual.

Just to add to what Pugga said, depending on what year truck you have, you may have to modify the alignment ring. This is the piece that drops into the stock bulb mount location and is what levels the projector on the horizontal axis. If you have 2012 or 2013 you will need to modify the ring for sure. It's not difficult, just a little time with the dremel and something like jb weld steel stick putty to secure the ring in place after modification.

You don't really need a write up, just use a dremel and shave the tab little by little until you can get the horizontal line perfect. Looking at mine, I think only the top tab will need to get shaved and only on the passenger side.

I'd say next Friday is a fair estimate for the cutoff at this point.
