Planning on running Fish Creek Wash again this weekend because why not. Camping at Fish Creek CG and shooting at the tracks. Leaving 2-3pm Friday get to the CG by sundown.

If anyone is interested in rolling!

I got plenty to say about that but I'd like to keep my account...Things were really going great here before this started..Hopefully everyone is ok but seriously I think this is OVER. These shutdowns and guidelines are beyond asinine at this point.

 

Went to Anza Borrego last month and it was nice. Road conditions were great at various locations there but I didn't get a chance to drive thru Fish creek. However, it was snowing on the way home thru Julian and 78 West.

 

@Samus - So, with 2020 clearly turning into a cluster, are you re-planning this for 2021?

Heck yeah!! I can definitely try to plan something! I'll shoot for mid-May. I've been so slammed at/with work (still working remotely), this last year has been insane and I've barely even been on the forum lately.

I just logged on today to find that truck bed camping build thread because guess what my next project is I need to find someone in North County who does custom carpentry.
I'm getting a new suspension installed this Wednesday and ordering a Softopper as well. Hoping to poke around and find a deal or something

I should be ready to rock and itching to get back on a trip by mid-May though!!

Anza Borrego is hot AF in May. Just like the thread name says - what say the peanut gallery about running the trails around Rouse Hill and Thomas Mtn on either of those dates? Whichever works best for the majority. There are plenty of yellow post sites to camp at in that area as well. Dibs on two of 'em.

I can plan a chill day/route that's friendly for 2wd and any newbies but also has offshoots for those who wanna do some technical shiz. For most of you who are 4wd, I can plan a side route for you to do while I stay behind with a beer and a sandwich.

When I say 2wd friendly that means nothing super technical or body damage but depending on your comfort level you might have to just skinny pedal through some stuff this is coming from a fellow 2wd so if I can do it, you can too.

Those of you who were on the Leap Day/Grapevine/Borrego run should remember that even though it was 2wd friendly there were still some "oh shit" moments - I now have an upgraded suspension so expect something similar. Fun for all ages and all skill levels and all that good stuff.

Who's in? I'm so ready to get back out there!
