If I wanted to run a wire (from a DVR camera) from, let's say the rear license plate to inside the cab (i.e. dash) - what is the route of the cables that would be easiest to follow?

I tried searching for this, but didn't quite find the details I was looking for. Thanks!

there is a grommet you can enter the cab, below the drivers seat.

Passenger side would be easier. Gas tank on the driver and is a PIA to run wire over.

Just under get under your truck and look for the factory harness is my best advice, a headlamp is nice for that. For me it was easy enough to follow the factory harness exactly and zip tie my new wire, in conduit, to that.

I've run along both sides. The passenger side is much easier. Both sides have existing wiring that you can follow, and grommets that you can pass your wiring through.
