Yeah I'll be around. Pretty sure I have the same spring break as UAA. I'd be down to help. I've never done full leaf packs or UCAs but I've done the rest.

For a full leaf pack I would recommend that you drop the whole axle instead of doing one at a time. This is why its a good idea do do the brake line first.

I did one at a time and had to use ratchet straps to move the axle forward to line it up with the center pins.

Also, for me to get the rear leaf dpring shackle bolt in I had to use a scissor jack. Ive heard of people using a bottle jack also. This made the job reallly easy.

Thanks again guys for the tips. I went ahead and ordered some ubolts and the extended rear brake line from wheelers, also picked up the ARB tire inflation kit for my compressor when I finally get that on.

Oh, and start soaking every possible nut and bolt in PB blaster like a week before you want to install everything. It'll make shit way easier. Helps if you have an impact as well.

I'll start spraying the rear soon. I've been spraying the UCA/ball joint area for a while now. Also have an impact.

hey bro its been a while since I've been on here and must have missed your post in my build thread! sorry.

Yea the 5125 10" in stock location are the way to go w/ OME leafs. unfortunately i don't have a pic of the angle of the driveline and my truck is over an hour away (shocks are off and being sent to toytec) You don't for sure need the axle shims and bearing drop, but its really nice to have them on hand incase you do. IMO its more likely you'll need the axle shims though and the bearing drop is more of a fine tuning thing. I can't really remember how i figured out the driveshaft angle i think it was something like each inch you raise equals one degree of shim. so for the OMEs it was a 3degree shim.

also is your ebrake line over or under the leaf packs? if it runs on top of the leafs ill post a picture of these little extenders you will need/want to make.

edit: you can also use some washers for the carrier bearing drop I'm pretty sure all i needed was like 5/8" drop on the bearing.

Looks like I'll need to make an adjustment here... The e-brake cable does go over the leafs. What did you end up using?

I am also thinking about taking the bottom short overload type leaf out.

here is the link to what your going to want to make: http://www.bajataco.com/Brakes2.html

I bought a piece of angle iron for like 5$ from home depot and cut these with a grinder and i also had to buy a drill bit and 2x screws + nuts. i think some people used aluminum but i didn't want to use such a soft metal. i also kind of bent up all the e brake guide/mounts along the axle to make the cable as straight/level as i could.

here are pics of the ones i made:

im not currently with my truck but after you install them you will need to adjust the e brake a little. i can take a picture of where you need to adjust. its super simple but the adjuster nut on mine was kind of stubborn and a bit rusty. might want to spray some PB blaster on it the day before you do it or something..

Thanks! That doesn't look too bad.
Is the E brake adjustment the one under the cab of the truck driver side?

Over the last couple days I removed the gold "pin strips" that came factory and really like the way it looks now, sorry no picture as of yet.

Just ordered my BAMF BPV relocation bracket (the larger one). And about to order the bedliner for my interior (I ripped out the carpet, so this will go everywhere the carpet went) and I am thinking of trying to bedline my sliders and bumpers too since my spray paint isn't holding up at all. Heard great reviews for Monstaliner, good reviews for Raptor liner, and so-so reviews for Herculiner, so I'll give Monstaliner a shot. Comes in roll-on and spray on. I would prefer spray, but for ease of use I'm going to try the roll on option.

was not too impressed with my herculiner, i only had one gallon of it though. i heard/read its pretty much all about how many layers/coats you put on whichever liner you go with.

Did my first vehicle recovery yesterday!

This Nissan had been sliding down the icy hill. He tried to turn it around and started sliding mid turn, his passenger rear wheel was in the air and the truck was stuck on his leaf spring and stock gas tank skid. The hill was VERY slick and I started to slide down it while walking it a couple times.

It looks like a lot higher quality than the flowmasters I've seen. I bet it'd sound better on your V6 though!

And my Wheelers Ubolts and brake line came in.
turns out I bought 2 ARB tire inflation kits... Anyone need one up here?
