Toytec ultimate lift kit, light racing UCAs, ARB bumper and full skid plates underneath. Looking into redoing the suspension and maybe repainting the ol' Taco.
Just because automakers dont use it doesnt mean it doesnt work. That has more to do with cost.

Look at tires, for instance. The rugged trails are hardly the best tires available for tacomas. However, they come on the truck because they are fairly inexpensive and work fine for most drivers. A small increase in unit price is a huge number when you put it across an entire production run. Same goes for a lot of aftermarket parts, particularly computer tuning.

This is particularly true with the fluids that come in the truck. The manufacturer has no real incentive to add cost when standard dino oil will be fine for most consumers. Again, if the added mpg doesnt do much for them in marketing or unit sales and increases cost, then why do it.

    of course
No noticeable difference in MPG. Sorry , I cannot help myself. I must lie as often as possible. PS - just traded the harley ultra for a new Honda Goldwing. Yes I did and I am not lying.

You are pouring money down the drain. 3000 is way too soon for drains with a quality synthetic

Next time you change it, send a sample to Blackstone Labs for analysis.

OME all around. SPC UCA. This and that.
I changed everything to synthetic (Mobel 1) Diffs, transfer, engine all of it and gained 1-2 MPG. I did not use Royel Purple. Was it worth the money? Hell I debated changing my engine oil today because I am bored so what the hell it gave me something to do.
