    Similar thing happened to me when I was drilling a hole for my bed braces. I had to borrow a drill from a buddy, and his corless drill sucked -- basically the drill bit wasn't turning fast enough to drill through the steel and just kinda grabbed and mangled the hole. Luckily in my case, the hole ended up only being an 1/8" off where I needed it to be and it's buried behind the brace now.

    You should still be good though, do you have this tool? This tool is necessary for those to work.

    We use them every day at work.. i do agree if you have never used one or dont know how to work the clutch on a drill than yes stay away
