So today I noticed after I got the new 2004 3.4 engine up and running in the truck to replace the 1997 engine, The engine limiter or kill switch
is not working when it hits 5500 rpm and ideas, it there a control switch or something, right now the engine goes right into the red zone with no stopping it. I was passing a car in 2nd gear and all the sudden saw the tach in the red zone,

Haha, yea and no, before I didn't have to watch the rpm because it cut off automatically, now I have relearn, Grrr or find a fix

I just replaced the engine 2 weeks ago, my old engine had 489.000 miles on it.
The new engine has 100,000, the rev limiter has been working for 489,000 miles.
Now with the 2004 motor it not working,
