I just bought an 2002 V6 4x4 Taco and I've been having issues with the engine revving up by about 400 rpms whenever I disengage the clutch. This happens only after pressing the clutch petal; if I throw it into neutral without using the clutch or I am stopped and idling, everything is fine. I didn't notice the issue or I don't think it was even there when I test drove the car the weekend before I bought it.

Looking online, I found a few threads talking about kinda similar issues but not quite the same. They brought up issues like potential issues with IAC, vacuum leak, or throttle body sticking.

Has anybody had a similar issue, and if so how did you fix it? Any links will also help.
