( I took this from another tread from another forum but this is happening to me with my brand new Toyota Tacoma 2021 )

While cruising at any given speed, I will come to a stop sign or red light or a situation that causes me to take my foot off the gas. The idle will stay at whatever the cruising idle was for about 2 seconds, then increase a couple hundred RPMs, then come down to the normal RPM. The car actually accelerates a tiny bit with my foot off the gas. Even with my foot on the brake when coming to a stop sign, the idle goes up a tiny bit with my foot on the brake.

I took it to the dealer and I was told that they found nothing and and it looks normal. That the computer to detect anything for 2021 models is not yet made or send for dealers.

That I just need to keep an eye for any " recalls"

This is annoying me! Please help!

Is your A/C on? The compressor clutch engaging and disengaging will cause the idle to move around. Try shutting off A/C and ensure that you are not in a defrost mode. Defrost modes will force the A/C compressor to work.

ATs will always have a bit of drag while in gear. That is just the fluid circulating in the torque converter at idle.

Sounds like the torque converter clutch sticking.
