RPM's at 55 mph.

Anyone who currently owns a 2nd Gen with V6 auto, how many rpm's are you turning at 55 mph? Just wanna compare.

When I had my '07, I was <2,000 RPM up to around 70 MPH on flat grade.

On my 3rd gen, cruising at 55 mph I’m between 1000 and 1500 rpms

 

Get yourself a Ninja. Mine will liquify ice in under 40 seconds. Plus the noise keeps the dogs out of my kitchen.

My intention here is to see how close the 2nd is when in top gear in comparision to the 3rd gen in S5 fifth gear without using 6th.

 

Under 40?! Thats impressive! Any overheating issues with that set up?

 

Nope! The secret's in the multiple blades that go all the way up.

 

I think the 2nd Gen was a 0.72 ratio in 5th gear with the 3.73 axle ratio. Probably 1600rpms @ 55mph

 

I had a ninja and was happy, but then bit the bullet and bought a Vitamix. Whole new world.

 

Now, does it come with extended warranty?

2nd gen (lol) 2.7 (lol!!) 4spd auto (haha!!) at 55 is turning 1800rpm
