RR diff light on. HELP

    Bought a 2002 tacoma yesterday and the rr diff light seems to be coming on and im not sure why. Not familiar with locking diff model as my previous 2000 didnt have it. Any idea what could be causing it

    Engage Offroad long travel front and rear with some fat tires.
    x2... if the light turns on solid whenever you turn the truck on, the button could be pressed and the locker engaged...

    while at a stop, press the diff lock button and crawl forward, turning the steering wheel and if it's engaged, you will hear a click from the rear when it disengages and then you are set to drive regularly...

    haha thanks guys but Im not that retarded. the locker is definitely disengaged otherwise i dont think i would have been able to drive it home 70+mph without any weird noises or jerking. any other ideas?? also it kicks off ocaassionly as well....and this happens with the abs light and the same time i forgot to mention

    While you are checking the ecu might as well do the grey wire mod!

    thanks guys..whippersnapper what do you think the chances are that its the sensor..ive talked to a couple of people who might think its actuator motor which I really hope it isnt

    Are you a 4x4? Did you take the TRD decals off your tacoma or were they removed prior to u buying the truck?
