    Hello Everyone,

We just got back the sliders back from the powder coating facility andthe entire batch has been compromised with powder coating defects. Therefore, we are unable to ship the 2nd batch out because of the defects in the powder coating. We are going to make this right by re-powder coating the entire batch at a much more reliable and experienced powder coating facility.

Due to @Rockyr’s feedback, we are now going to powder coat our sliders at our manufacture’s recommended powder coating facility. Our manufacture has been using this powder coating facility for their client’s off-roading metal part for years and proved that they can deliver and maintain quality powder coat finishing.

The RRW team and I and sincerely sorry about the inconvenience. If anyone wish to cancel their orders, please contact me directly. For those who are still interested, we will do our best to make sure we make this right for you and make sure you guys get a quality product. We are disappointed in ourselves and will be sure to learn from this to make sure this does not happen again.

That’s all true. The sliders I was referring to had holes where you had to drill into the unibody and then another rail which went on the pinch weld because XJ’s aren’t full frame vehicles. I drilled for every hole that was made in the sliders and used all the bolts supplied.

Are these different as in more holes are drilled in the slider than bolts supplied? I haven’t received my sliders yet and based on the recent reply, I won’t for a longer time. I didn’t mean my reply earlier to be hostile, I just don’t know why it would be more complicated than to drill where there’s holes made in the slider.

No worries, I wasn’t trying to be negative either. These sliders have holes that align with existing frame holes and some that align to solid frame. They are billed as no drill, but there are more bolt holes on one side than the other. Some holes align with existing holes that are in use for something else. I just think it would be good to get the design intent.

I ended up drilling out the remaining 2 bottom tabs per side, but still curious.

SSO hybrid bumper, Warn winch, RCI skid trilogy, RRW sliders, everything in the cheap/free mods thread, and of course the frame recall work.
Thank you! Next week, next month - all good to me to get a great product at unreal price. Either way it's gonna be cold as a witchs tit when i do the install.

Thanks for the update! Fortunately I’m in no hurry to get mine. I’d rather wait for a quality product anyways, so thanks for being honest!

I know I've asked a few times... but just to confirm they DO NOT stick out far enough to prevent door dings?

Review the photos from this thread. They absolutely stick out far enough to prevent door dings.

Is local installation available? I've already ordered but am close enough to meet up and pay for install rather than shipping them

Appreciate your honest feed back and doing the right thing. In my line of work coaters are frequently a problem so finding a quality place is always hard!

So with that in mind the 2nd batch is probably 2-3 weeks out?

    Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to update you guys. We have to completely strip the entire batch and re-powder coat it. This batch is getting picked up today to get sandblasted and re-powder coated. The estimated lead time is 2 weeks. I'm going to follow up frequently with our manufacture and update you guys as soon as I get an update.

Thank you all for waiting patiently
