Just confirming... they do stick out far enough to protect from door dings, correct?

if they stick out far enough to slide on rocks, they stick out far enough to protect you from flying doors. it's not rocket science y'all!

Probably not but it would really depend on the car door that’s getting thrown at it. Here’s my car door and it touches the truck door before the slider8F408CB1-EBD3-40AA-B287-7AEC1A015EA3.jpg

That’s not necessarily true. Sometimes, the middle part of the offending car door sticks out farther than the bottom.

Not only that, but OUR doors bulge out in the middle.

I think you're still OK. It's complicated, but still not rocket science. I worked for NASA as a physicist so I can speak on that front ;-)

Thanks for the pic. Bummer for me i was hoping for it to stick out to work as step also. And 0 angle option would be very helpful for the kids/elders in the family.

    Thanks for the info.

Hmmmm strange, in your pics it looks like it sticks out pretty good to be used as guard against door ding and steps?

I think it’ll just depend on the shape of the door.

It can be used as a step, it’s just not a lot of profile. Here’s a pic with door open:

Any update on shipping the batch of sliders out, @RayRRW ? Hoping they arrive before Turkey day as it's a nice long weekend for doing an install!

Dang forum only has a like button - pretend it was a "stoked and totally geeked out" button.

Has anybody paid to have these installed? What was or do you consider a fair price?

I live in a condo and the rules are VERY strict on any vehicle work in the parking garage. The manager is a massive jerk and his favorite saying is "the rules apply to everyone" so I know it would be an issue.

$100 would be fair. Do you have any DIY auto garages nearby? They typically charge an hourly rate for tools/lift. You could also make a post in your local sub forum asking for a helping hand... there’s a bunch of awesome folks on TW that are usually willing to help out a local member.
